Grounded in feminist, narrative, anti-oppression, and person-centered frameworks, my counselling style is guided by the principle that we inherently have the capacity and inner resources to meet life's challenges from a place of empowerment. My experiences as a master's student, advocate, and counsellor over the past 5 years along with my personal identity as a second generation South Asian Canadian woman have been significant in my growth as a counsellor. These experiences have shown me the importance of honouring and respecting the unique and complex identities of each client I work with.
Through a warm, non-judgmental and collaborative approach we will work towards creating a safe and compassionate space for us to explore your inner thoughts, feelings, strengths, and challenges, in order to create long lasting and sustainable change in your life.
Areas of focus include:
- Gender and Sexuality
- Post-Traumatic Stress and Trauma
- Grief and Loss
- Anxiety and Depression
- Suicidal Thoughts and Behaviours
- Personal Development
- Life Transitions
- Identity Issues
I offer counselling in person, or by phone. My fees are on a sliding scale of $40 to $120 per hour. If you have any questions or would like to book a free 30-minute consultation, please contact me at (778) 806-8397 or firstname.lastname@example.org I look forward to hearing from you!
