I am drawn to counselling because I find it rewarding to help others during life challenges. My approach has been influenced by my own experience. I once felt as if I had lost my purpose and wandered around without fulfillment. Through support, I was able to reclaim my purpose and self-worth and equip myself with tools that empowered me. This experience taught me the importance of a therapeutic relationship built on respect, support, and empathy.
I value authenticity and compassion as the foundation of human connection. My approach to counselling rests on my belief that we all have the capacity to self-reflect, grow, and the ability to make our own choices. My approach to counselling aligns with person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
