With the right intention, I believe counselling sessions can be a safe space for clients to feel supported in the process of unfolding life events, transitions, and new self-discoveries. Our sessions will be guided by thought-provoking inquiries and skillful attunement, with the intention of moving towards living in fuller alignment with one’s own needs. Sessions may also include mindfulness techniques which encourage emotional regulation and a greater awareness of bodily sensations.

I’m currently in the process of completing my Master of Counselling degree at City University. Prior to training as a counsellor, I supported families and their children for over a decade as a nanny, by assisting with their social and emotional development. The invaluable skillset that I’ve gained from this work has been enriched by my training in mindfulness, meditation, non-violent communication, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed practice.

When I’m not working, I enjoy dancing, spending time in community, and walking in the woods with my dog Willow. I am a white settler of Dutch and Irish heritage and my work is informed by the teachings of intersectional feminism and anti-oppressive practice. I recognize that this work requires an ongoing commitment to listening, learning, and unlearning.

I live and work on the unceded traditional and ancestral territories of the səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.
