We have all heard the message to “just be ourselves.”

Thinking about truly being ourselves might feel scary because we worry about what others might think of our true self, and how to handle it when they react to us. With me, you will have a safe space to gently observe, explore and respond to situations that arise.

Moving at your own pace, we will take the time to explore your experiences, relationships, communities, and the broader systems that have shaped your life, as well as the stories, emotions and patterns that may be keeping you feeling stuck, lost, shut down, in a state of overriding fatigue or feeling disconnected from your body’s signals and wisdom.

As a queer, neuro-affirming counsellor, I understand firsthand how messages about what it means to be “acceptable,” “worthy,” or loved can pull us into shame-based loops and disconnection from ourselves and others. I work with people across a wide range of identities, relationships, and lived experiences, and aim to create a space where you don’t have to question whether you belong.

Operating from a person-centered orientation, I meet you where you are with curiosity, non-judgment, and genuine care. Together, we can create a trauma-informed space that feels safe enough to explore life’s challenges, reconnect with your values beneath layers of expectation and move toward greater self-trust, understanding and compassion.

My approach is tailored to support you. I draw practically and philosophically from clinical terms such as narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), attachment theory, expressive arts therapy, somatic-approaches, as well as inner child and parts work. Most importantly, I take a relational approach and hold unconditional positive regard—honouring your resilience, identities, cultures and lived experiences, while staying committed to learning, evolving and growing in how I support you throughout therapy.

I believe healing happens in relationships, not in isolation. You are not a problem to be solved, and you don’t have to have everything figured out to begin. I work with individuals, couples, children and youth, across neurotypes (including autism, mood disorders, mood-related challenges and ADHD) and support concerns such as anxiety, depression, burnout, perfectionism, grief, life transitions, identity and belonging, masking, feeling blocked creatively and relationship challenges.

If this approach resonates with you, I would be delighted to set up a complimentary consultation with you whenever you feel ready.
